Artist Statement: There are many references to boats in the Bible. From Noah’s ark to Jesus calming the sea, boats are mentioned 43 times in the Bible, often in stories that teach us about the nature of God. This old hand carved boat reminds me of a life boat and that Jesus is the source of life, both abundant and eternal.
